Reviews about Ace Hardware & Rental
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆February 21, 2020, by Matt CipressoThis store is right next to my house and I won’t ever go in again, “Ace is he place with the helpful hardware folks” not true here, I was working on Super Bowl Sunday due to being so busy, ace was OPEN till 5pm, I arrived at 4:30pm and was immediately helped in a manner as if I was being rushed out the stored, the young man at the register didn’t say one word to me as he scanned my items, didn’t ask for my rewards card, didn’t ask if I wanted a bag so my 20 items. The next morning I walked in and the employee “Jim” and older gentleman he saw me and didn’t say a word and proceeded to kinda walk away and hide. I then had to track him down which was odd for this store, I asked for cone filters; he showed me cheese cloth and I told him I was looking for the cone filters, He gave me some sort of I know everything attitude, so I asked if he talked to everyone in that manner or if it was just me, then the tone changed as if he didn’t know what I was talking about. I talked to a manager a young lady, she didn’t seem to care. If your looking to browse I don’t recommend shopping here, you will be asked if you need help by every employee by the time you leave. Not necessarily a bad thing but can become extremely annoying, they should communicate with each other so I don’t have to tell 10 people that I don’t need help and that I’m just looking. I’m in his store 3-4 times a week and every experience is the same so after the Super Bowl I decided to write a review because of the rude employees and the uncomfortable manner they give when shopping. They just need to communicate and say hey I talked to this guy he has what he needs he’s just looking now instead of constantly being hounded and rushed out the store. I’m constantly leaving with items I forgot because I can’t focus. They need help in upper management and they need help with the older gentlemen with how they speak to the younger generation and drop the I know it all attitude. I shop at the foothills location and in all honesty will say the two stores handle customers completely differently if your in ahwatukee just go to foothills ace.
